Based in San Francisco, Marine Wireless was founded in 2003 by a team of experienced technology professionals with a shared vision of making navigation data available to inexpensive commodity wireless devices (handhelds, laptops, and tablet PC's), alleviating the need of running navigation data cables throughout a vessel, and increasing mobility by providing navigation data wirelessly anywhere on a vessel.
To achieve this goal Marine Wireless developed the first ever dedicated 802.11b marine navigation server.
